Saudi Shoura Council urges monthly labor market indicators

JEDDAH: The Shoura Council on Monday called on the General Authority for Statistics to ensure issuance of labor market indicators on a monthly basis. 

The council also stressed the need to meet international standards in the collection, interpretation and compilation of data.

Following the session, the assistant chairman of the Shoura Council, Dr. Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Samaan, told a press conference that the council discussed a number of issues related to different sectors.

He said the council members discussed findings of several reports presented by different committees.

The council called on the relevant authorities to develop the railway infrastructure to enable it to use advanced and fast trains. It will not only facilitate public transportation but will also help generate revenues.

The Shoura Council also approved draft memorandums of understanding between the Kingdom and the UAE in the fields of renewable energy and other sectors.
